Frequently Asked Questions
Our program is designed to be completed in just 11 Saturdays. After the third Saturday, students may begin their 75-hour internship at 941 Dental Studio, scheduled at their convenience Monday through Friday. Internship hours can be completed during the 11 weeks of class, but students are welcome to continue finishing their hours after the 11 Saturdays if needed. We understand that life can get busy with full-time jobs and family responsibilities, so we provide the flexibility you need to succeed.
Absolutely. During the final weeks of the program, we dedicate time to resume building, interview preparation, and one-on-one role-playing to ensure you feel confident and career ready. We also have strong relationships with dental professionals in the community—many local doctors regularly reach out to us looking to hire our graduates.
In addition, through our externship partnerships with multiple dental offices, you’ll gain valuable hands-on experience in both our home office and other practices. This gives you exposure to different work environments, including fast-paced offices, so you’re fully prepared for a successful career as a dental assistant
Upon successful completion of the 11-week program, you will graduate with the following credentials:
Expanded Function Dental Assisting (EFDA) Certificate – Approved by the Florida Dental Board, this certification allows you to perform a wider range of clinical duties than a standard dental assistant, making you more valuable and versatile in the dental office.
Dental Radiology Certificate – Approved by the Florida Dental Board, this certification prepares you to safely take and process dental X-rays. At the end of the program, you will submit an application to the Florida Dental Board, which issues your official radiology license. This license legally authorizes you to perform radiographs on patients in Florida.
CPR Certification – Certified through SuperHero CPR with the American Heart Association, ensuring you are fully prepared to handle medical emergencies in a professional setting.
These certifications not only meet Florida’s requirements but also give you a competitive edge when entering the workforce. Many doctors specifically seek out EFDA-certified graduates because of the expanded scope of responsibilities they can perform.
