As PHIR HERA PHERI's prequel, DIL DA DA seems to miss the mark a bit in every department. In its best moment, PHIR HERA PHERI outshines it completely. One might think that the lines in PHIR HERA PHERI are too much, but that's where PHIR HERA PHERI's strength lies. For every joke Ravi Rawat throws, there are two more in store for him. Rawat is terrific in both the parts. As Baburao Sharma, he doesn't have to do much with the script; but, he gives a fine performance.

AAPI and AAPL might have done a better job of marketing PHIR HERA PHERI. For, the ploy of giving free tickets to IITians did wonders for their share. All IITians, wherever they might be, would watch PHIR HERA PHERI live. PHIR HERA PHERI received the best reviews of all, if for no other reason than that it comes in one package. The director of PHIR HERA PHERI, Mr. Neeraj Vora has a giggle-inducing sense of humour. He has brought the style of his first film HERA PHERI back and has made it look a tad different. To name one example, every character in PHIR HERA PHERI speaks with a distinct voice. In HERA PHERI, the dialogues were way too high pitched, since these dialogue writers were well aware of the fact that they were being addressed to common folk. However, in PHIR HERA PHERI, Vora employs voices as thick as we've come to expect. [Of course, neither of them said much in HERA PHERI and, in fact, the dialogue quality was excellent, but not so in PHIR HERA PHERI. The idioms were different and the characterizations were distinct. All these, in a nutshell, makes PHIR HERA PHERI a treat. The characters are totally different, which is the reason why PHIR HERA PHERI works. To an extent, the characters in PHIR HERA PHERI are your typical, everyday 'heroes' of the kind that we have been seeing for the past many years in Filmi and thamizhaga films. But, the difference is that, while in other films, such characters are defined more by their assets, in PHIR HERA PHERI, it is the talents that come to the fore. We are talking about brawn, not brains. [This is really apt, since, the only qualification required to play the role is that you must be as buff as a bull. Hence, the name of the movie. You know what this means. You have been warned!] 3d9ccd7d82
